Great textbook. Very straightforward and organized. Easy to read and uncomplicates the course material!
I got this because it is required reading for my physiology class. Overall I think the book is put together very well, and it is easy to follow along with the material the author is presenting. The online features with McGraw Hill are a nice supplemental to the book, and many of the videos help reenforce the material.

really amazing book, I rented it and decided to buy a copy for referencing in the future. I had the joy of using this book in connection with a class taught by the author and I can not say enough good things about this text.

It is what it is; you must use this textbook for your class if that's the assigned book. It does a good job at explaining most concepts, but sometimes I was left thinking, "What? I need to go look this up in my other Physiology textbook, where it's explained better." 2 out of 5 of the instructors teaching my class did not care for this book. I prefer Silverthorn. I was recommended to seek out Boron's Medical Physiology for better material.
This book is probably one of the best physiology text books I have ever used. I used the same book in all levels of Biology throughout my undergrad and beyond. It functioned as a great complementary resource to most of my classes and was straight forward and concise in it's explanations of the various systems of the human body. Some textbooks are way too dense and make the learning experience dreadful, but I can't say the same about this book.
